I am an independent practicing puppeteer. I’ve been creating my own shows since 2010. I participate in the Baltimore Puppet Slams, Quest Fest, Baltimore’s Artscape and have performed in the DC area. I have developed workshops for children age range 5 to 13 for a summer camp and do volunteer puppet workshops at my son’s school.

I have been a puppeteer since 1993. I started working with Black Cherry Puppet Theater in Baltimore. When I moved to New York, I worked at the Central Park’s Marionette Theater. I was lucky enough to be part of Janie Geiser’s Puppet Lab at St Ann’s in Brooklyn. At the lab I met some friends and formed Big Raven Puppet. We did some shows in the New York area and workshops for kids.  Just before I moved back to Baltimore I was a puppeteer for Nancy Harrow’s Maya the Bee.

After my return to Baltimore, I worked for Black Cherry Puppet as an extra puppeteer. For the past three years I’ve been asked to design puppets for plays at Goucher College. I’ve been invited to work their students as a mentor and guide a for their puppet performance and fabrication.

I attended Sandglass’s Intensive in 2008. I also participated in the 2010 O’Neill Puppet Conference and took the Pre-Conference with John Bell in 2013.  I was asked to perform the piece I developed at the Pre-Conference at the National Puppetry Festival and at a Puppet Pandemic, both in 2013.

I received the Seed Grant from The Jim Henson Foundation for 2013.  I have since workshopped Soul of Wood in Baltimore and performed it at a puppet slam.
